Organisation and administration
The implementation of the SPP 1448 is shared together by the universities of Halle and Leipzig, with funding distributed by the DFG to both institutions on an equal basis.
The third of three two-year funding periods of the Priority Programme began on 1 January, 2015.
The Central Project of the Priority Programme serves as the backbone for the coordination and implementation of the SPP 1448’s Programme of Action.
It is headed by the two co-spokespersons, Prof. Richard Rottenburg, Institute of Anthropology and Philosophy, University of Halle, and Prof. Ulf Engel, Institute of African Studies and Global and European Studies Institute, University of Leipzig, and through their respective universities.
